Shockingly Orange - Wendy Brightbill
Shockingly Orange - Wendy Brightbill
"Shockingly Orange" — Wendy Brightbill
From the collection "The Way Flowers Remember"
True to its name, this piece is a burst of pure, unapologetic color — a bouquet of blush and magenta blooms tumbling across a vibrant field of tangerine and coral. The flowers seem to glow against the fiery backdrop, with pops of white, mauve, and pale blue offering just enough contrast to keep the composition grounded. A soft horizon line glimmers at the base, hinting at sunset light spilling across water.
Brightbill leans fully into saturation here, creating a piece that feels less like a still life and more like a mood — warm, electric, and joyfully bold. It's a showstopper for anyone who wants their walls to feel alive.
Oil and acrylic on wrapped canvas, 16" x 20" x 2.5" — ready to hang, no frame required.
-Wendy Brightbill began her creative journey after a car accident rewired her brain. Painting and making a mess with paint allowed her to embrace the process and stay present in the moment. God used art to bring healing to a fractured brain: a real-life beauty-from-ashes story. Painting with bright, vibrant colors lifted her depression and allowed Wendy to build a creative life that she never knew existed.
Wendy is a native of Colorado and resides at the picturesque base of Pikes Peak. She is married to her friend and biggest supporter, Brannan. Together they have three beautiful daughters!
