Shoefiti
Original oil painting by Ken Williams
40.5" x 21.5" (framed)

A pair of red Converse All Star high-tops hangs suspended by their laces against a clear blue sky, rendered with photorealistic precision in oil. Williams captures every worn detail — the scuffed rubber soles, the frayed canvas, the sun-bleached laces — transforming a familiar piece of street iconography into a study of light and texture. Presented in a rich black frame, this piece is part of the Storytelling Art collection at Meraki Springs, where everyday objects become vessels for narrative and nostalgia.

A note on appearance: Colors and fine details may vary slightly depending on your screen settings, lighting, device used to capture images, and the display on the device used to view. As with all handcrafted and artisan work, minor variations are natural and part of what makes each piece unique. Questions before you buy? We're happy to help — just reach out!

Ken Williams is an artist dedicated to capturing the world with striking intensity through the interplay of light, shadow, color, and contrast. His artistic journey began amid the rugged beauty of Southwestern Colorado, where he honed his skills with charcoal, primarily depicting wildlife. He pursued formal education in Commercial Art at Mesa State College and later earned a Visual Communications degree from the Art Institute of Colorado, before channeling his creativity into founding 4U2C, a successful print and design company.

Williams led 4U2C for over 15 years before selling it in 2009, a pivotal moment that allowed him to fully immerse himself in his true passion: art. He remains committed to continually refining his craft and exploring new artistic avenues.
